Jane Hseu

Assistant Professor, English

Jane Hseu’s areas of specialization include Asian American and Latino/a literature, contemporary American literature, postcolonial literature and theory, and women’s and gender studies. Her current research concerns the representation of standard and vernacular languages and multilingualism in Asian American and Latino/a literature. At Dominican she teaches courses on twentieth-century American, contemporary multiethnic US, and US Latino/a literature; composition courses that also focus on popular culture and globalization; and a sophomore-level liberal arts and sciences seminar on “Global Chicago."
