Alumna Anna Dominguez, the Queen of Tape

Anna Dominguez '09, was recently featured in an article ‚Äčin the Chicago Tribune about her unique body of artwork, created exclusively from tape. Dominguez, AKA The Queen of Tape, recently unveiled the first permanent piece in Chicago's trendy St. Jane Hotel. The piece, a tribute to the hotel's namesake Jane Addams, revered social activist and founder of Hull House, was commissioned by hotel owner Carrie Meghie. 

Dominiguez, who graduated with a degree in studio art and education and played on the women's soccer team, has created a growing body of work reflecting female empowerment and melding her love of sports, art and pop culture. She has done artwork for nonprofit charities, celebrities and professional athletes, including a piece she presented to US soccer player Abby Wambach during her retirement ceremony in 2015 at the Superdome in New Orleans. She recently completed a piece that will be presented to tennis star Serena Williams.
