Sister Mary Kremer

Coordinator, Alternative Certification, Associate Professor, School of Education

Sister Mary Kremer, OP has taught education courses at Dominican since 1995 and currently serves as director of alternative certification programs for the School of Education. Previously, she taught at Holy Trinity High School in Chicago, Trinity High School in River Forest, Cathedral High School in Omaha, NE, Queen of Peace High School in Burbank, and St. Patrick School in Madison, WI. She was also the principal at Central Catholic High School in Bloomington, IL. She taught English at the Catholic Teachers’ College in Cochabamba, Bolivia, and served as a youth minister at the Catholic Youth Center, also in Cochabamba. She was the director of the Apostolic Volunteers from 1974-80. Having served in Latin America for several years and in high-needs schools in the U.S., her professional interests lie in the areas of social justice education, anti-racism training and critical pedagogy.
