Scott Kreher

Assistant Professor, Biology, Natural Sciences Department

Scott Kreher’s research is focused on the genetic basis of behavior, and his current work is investigating the molecular, genetic and cellular basis of the sense of smell, using the fruit fly, Drosophila melanogaster, as a model system. Understanding the sense of smell is a fundamental question in neuroscience, as it relates to the mechanisms by which stimuli are coded by the sensory nervous system. Kreher uses classical genetics, molecular biology and behavioral analysis in his research.
