Monday, July 23, 2018

Elizabeth Collier, professor of business ethics,, was recently featured in a video on the website of the national Jewish Broadcasting Service radio network. The video was taken during a talk on immigration that Liz delivered at Iona College in New Rochelle, NY this spring. "Border Control vs. Love the Stranger," was delivered as part of a conference on the "Immigration Conundrum," a program sponsored by the American Jewish Committee Westchester/Fairfield and the Driscoll Professorship in Jewish Catholic Studies at Iona College.

Collier, who also serves as the Christopher Chair in Business Ethics in the Brennan School of Business, discussed the tension between U.S. border control and compassion for refugees seeking safe haven in the U.S. with Rabbi Rachel Grant Meyer, director of Education for Community Engagement for the HIAS, an international refugee resettlement organization.

The program was aired on the Jewish Broadcasting Service on June 25-27. You can watch the entire talk here.
