Dominican Presents “La Grande Garmentory” Student Fashion Show

Monday, March 19, 2018

Dominican University’s department of fashion will present “La Grande Garmentory,” the 2018 Student Fashion Show, on Saturday, April 7 and Sunday, April 8 in the Lund Auditorium, 7900 W. Division Street, River Forest. The runway shows will be presented at 7 p.m. on April 7 and at 3 p.m. on April 8.

Dominican’s annual runway show presents more than 100 pieces created by students in the fashion design program and organized in collaboration with students in the fashion merchandising program. The event showcases styles ranging from ready-to-wear to experimental fashion statements. This year’s theme, “La Grande Garmentory,” honors the roots of the fashion industry and celebrates fashion in a modern, exciting format. Inspired by the Industrial Revolution, this year’s show combines designs, concepts and ideas that capture the spirit of culture, religion, nature and art. A highlight of the show will be the presentation of a special collection by Dominican alumna, Tracey Janowitz, founder of Sweatyswag, a line of casual workout clothing.

Tickets for the fashion show are $15. To order tickets, visit http://events.dom.edu/2018-spring-fashion-show
