Dominican's SOIS presents McCusker lecture with Linda Hofschire

River Forest, IL - Dominican University’s School of Information Studies will present the annual McCusker Lecture on Tuesday, October 3, with Linda Hofschire, director of Colorado State Library’s Library Research Service. Hofschire’s lecture is titled, “Data-Powered Libraries: Informed, Innovative and Impactful.” During the lecture, which will be held at 6 p.m. in the Martin Recital Hall, 7900 W. Division Street, Hofschire will share her passion for making data accessible and meaningful to users.

Hofschire has more than 20 years of experience working in social science research and evaluation. At the Library Research Service, she manages a variety of research and evaluation projects, including outcome-based evaluations of state library programs and a national continuing education event, the Research Institute for Public Libraries. She also serves as the chair of the American Library Association’s Committee on Research and Statistics. Named a 2017 Library Journal “Mover and Shaker” in the Innovators category, Hofschire has master’s and doctoral degrees in mass media from Michigan State University and a master’s degree in library and information science from the University of Illinois.
