Chicago police officer and Dominican alum saves life

​​​Chicago police Officer B​​inyamin Jones, 2nd District, saved the life of a man that collapsed on a basketball court late ​last week. 

​Jones attended Domincan from 2003-2007 and played basketball for the STARS. He was a starter for three years, playing in 105 games and starting in 75 of them. During his time at Dominican he was the Midnight Madness slam dunk champion three times.

Jones is married to Dominican alum RoJenia Judkins Jones who won this year's African/African American Heritage Award and has two kids. He has stayed connected with DU and still plays in the alumni games.
