Student voices heard in Springfield

Wednesday, February 15, 2017

‚ÄčAbout 45 Dominican University students traveled to Springfield on Wednesday, February 8 to rally for the restoration of MAP funding. The impasse in the State of Illinois' budget has left students dependent on MAP grants to cover part of their tuition--about 57 percent of Dominican's student body--extremely vulnerable. Dominican expects to receive approximately $5.1 million each year in MAP funding. The funding has not yet been released for the current academic year.
