Myrna McNitt

Lecturer Graduate School of Social Work

Myrna McNitt’s research interests include child welfare, mental health and social policy with an international focus. She is the lead faculty member for a summer global studies program for Dominican social work students in Guatemala. She also co-authored a proposal for a research-based study trip in Ecuador. In March 2011 she traveled to Haiti to investigate how the university can assist the country. For over 30 years, McNitt worked as a caseworker for Americans for International Aid & Adoption. She also worked at the Circuit Court Family Division in Allegan County, MI. She served as a faculty member at Grand Valley State University, clinical supervisor for Feed the Children in Kenya, and clinical program supervisor for the Reading Borough Council in the UK.
