Joseph Heininger

Associate Professor, English

Most of Joseph Heininger’s research has focused on modern and contemporary Irish literature and culture. He attended the 2008 Yeats Institute in Ireland as a participant in the National Endowment for the Humanities Summer Institute.

Through a research grant from Dominican, Heininger is currently working on a project titled, “Contemporary Irish Poetry: Witness, Memorialization, and the Arts of Peace.” This project consists of a series of critical essays focused on the poetry of Seamus Heaney, Michael Longley, Eavan Boland, Micheal O’Siadhail and Peter Fallon.
