Greg Harman

William Gregory Harman teaches courses in social studies methods, educational psychology, and the history and philosophy of education. His view of teaching as approach rather than technique informs his studies on the pedagogy of conversation, having the teacher speak with students rather than at students. Harman was a high school social studies teacher for ten years at Mounds View High School, after he worked there for two years designing and running a learning lab. He also served as a social studies teacher and mentor program administrator at The Red School House, an alternative education Native American school.
