Clodagh Weldon

Professor, Theology

Weldon has taught theology courses at Dominican since 2000, and she was the recipient of Dominican’s 2005 Mother Evelyn Muphy Excellence in Teaching Award. She is featured as a case study of highly effective undergraduate teaching in Barbara Walvoord’s Teaching and Learning in College Introductory Religion Courses (2008) and was selected to participate in a nationwide study entitled “Teaching Introductory Theology and Religion: Lessons from the Practices of 50 Effective Teachers,” sponsored by The Wabash Center for Teaching & Learning in Theology and Religion and The University of Notre Dame (2004-05). Weldon recently served as a visiting research scholar at Blackfriars Hall, University of Oxford for the Trinity term 2010. She has also taught many programs for the Archdiocese of Chicago, including “Chicago Catholic Scripture School” and “Essential Catholicism for Thinking Adults” and serves on the school advisory council at St. Alexander School in Palos Heights.
