Bill Crowley

Bill Crowley joined the GSLIS faculty in 1996 has held the rank of professor in the GSLIS since 2004. He brings a wealth of varied professional and academic experience in libraries, including work as a librarian and administrator for the New York Public Library, Alabama Public Library Service, Northwest Indiana Library Services Authority, East Chicago Public Library Services and the State Library of Ohio, where he held the post of deputy state librarian. He teaches courses in library and information management, public libraries, readers advisory service, organizational communication and reference services. He has become a leading voice for professionalism in the library field and has published several books, chapters and articles on the topic.
